Dover Cruise Port is set to commence its 2025 season next month, featuring 8 inaugural ship calls and serving as the UK embarkation hub for 7 cruise companies.
The port will facilitate voyages to a diverse range of global destinations, including the Nordic/Baltic, the Mediterranean and Adriatic coasts, the British Isles and Continental Europe.
CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has emphasized the advantages of departing from Dover, noting the port’s efficient embarkation process and strong transport connections to London. The cruise line confirmed that Carnival Miracle ship will operate a series of roundtrip itineraries from Dover in 2025, while the Carnival Legend ship is scheduled to sail from Dover in 2026, underscoring the company's long-term commitment to the location.
The UK-based Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has also highlighted its return to Dover, with the Borealis ship set to depart on 6 voyages beginning May 28th, 2025. Fred Olsen's itineraries will feature destinations such as the Norwegian Fjords, Croatia, the Azores, and Iceland. The company has noted that guests will have opportunities to explore unique cultural and natural highlights, including flower cultivation in Madeira, scenic cruising along the Dalmatian Coast and the Bay of Kotor, and a 5-night introduction to the Norwegian Fjords, ideal for first-time cruisers.
Dover Cruise Port welcomes 20+ cruise lines annually, accommodating both turnaround operations and port-of-call visits. On peak weekends, the port can host up to 8,000 passengers. Its strategic location on the UK’s high-speed rail network provides direct connections to London in just over an hour, with additional accessibility via road and public transport. The cruise terminals also offer dedicated parking facilities for embarking guests, as well as a shuttle service from Dover Priory train station.
With a strong lineup of cruise calls and expanded itineraries, Dover is positioned to play a key role in the UK’s cruise sector for the 2025 season.
