Costa Cruises has announced the addition of Santo Domingo as a new embarkation point for Costa Fascinosa during her 2025-2026 Caribbean season. The introduction of this option is aimed at enhancing travel flexibility and improving air connectivity for passengers from North and South America.

The announcement was made during an event held aboard Costa Fascinosa at La Romana (Dominican Republic) attended by key industry representatives. Dario Rustico, General Manager for North and South America at Costa Cruises, and Fernando Joselevich, Costa’s Country Manager for Argentina and Latin America, emphasized that offering departures from Santo Domingo would provide passengers with greater choice when planning their Caribbean itineraries.

From December 2025 through March 2026, Costa Fascinosa will operate 8-day roundtrip cruises from Santo Domingo, calling at a selection of Caribbean destinations, including Barbados, Tortola, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe, and Martinique. Most sailings will also include a visit to Catalina Island, Costa’s private destination. Additional embarkation points will remain available from La Romana, Guadeloupe, and Martinique.

Distinguished guests at the event included Italy’s ambassador to Santo Domingo and Port-au-Prince, Stefano Queirolo Palmas; Andres Fernandez, La Romana’s Commercial Director of Cruises and Airport; Rudy Pimentel, Executive Director of Sansouci Port; and Ana Vilchez, Maritime Segment Director for the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Tourism.

Alongside Costa Fascinosa, Costa Pacifica will also operate in the Caribbean during the same period, offering eight- to 16-day itineraries with embarkation options in La Romana and Guadeloupe. The itineraries will feature calls at ports across the Dominican Republic, the British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
