On Saturday afternoon (August 20), police received a report of death onboard Grandeur of the Seas in Dockyard (Kings Wharf, Bermuda), with a 45-year-old American male passenger found dead in his cabin. The police said that foul play was not suspected and they were liaising with ship authorities.
A police spokesperson announced:
“At 1:40pm on August 20, 2016, police received a report of a death onboard the cruise ship, Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas which was berthed at Heritage Wharf in Dockyard.
“It was reported that the 45-year-old male American national was found dead in his cabin. His death was certified by the ship’s doctor.
“Foul play is not suspected and the Bermuda Police Service is liaising with the relevant ship authorities.
