Hong Kong is set to receive 17 international cruise ships this month, with 4 vessels already arriving on Sunday, bringing ~5,400 tourists, according to the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB).

The Celebrity Millennium, sailing from Singapore to Yokohama, and the Costa Serena, returning to Manila, berthed at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Silver Whisper and Seabourn Encore, en route to Tokyo and Kobe, respectively, docked at the Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui on Sunday. These vessels carried passengers from 31 countries and regions, including the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, the Philippines, Japan, and Singapore.

Many visitors explored Kowloon City, with an itinerary designed to highlight Hong Kong’s cultural and historical significance. The tour included a visit to the Kai Tak Sports Park and an exhibition at the Airside shopping mall, inspired by the film Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, offering a recreation of the former Kowloon Walled City. Guests also visited Kowloon Walled City Park to view historical relics and sampled traditional Hong Kong-style egg tarts. The excursion concluded with visits to Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Garden, providing insight into classical Chinese architecture and landscape design.

Looking ahead, 3 additional large cruise ships are scheduled to call at Hong Kong between March 18th and 19th. These include Cunard Line’s Queen Anne and Queen Elizabeth, as well as NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Sky. Notably, Queen Anne and Norwegian Sky will make their maiden calls to Hong Kong, with Queen Anne hosting a world cruise gala dinner for over 1,000 guests at a local hotel.
