The closure will take place from tomorrow, August 25, until October 20, mostly affecting the short itineraries aboard Norwegian Sky, which will instead sail to Nassau and Freeport (Grand Bahama).
Upgrades to Great Stirrup Cay include US$1 million in new landscaping; 100,000 sq.feet of new pathways, with a new boardwalk along the beach; addition of 2 zip lines; underwater sculpture garden; brand new shaded areas and rest stops; sports complex with volleyball and basketball courts, and a stage for entertainment; a Lagoon Retreat area with restaurant, spa, rented villas for passengers staying in the Haven and Suites; more dining options, including a complimentary taco bar and LandShark Bar&Grill (a la carte Jimmy Buffet restaurant).
