NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line has reached a significant construction milestone with the successful float-out of Norwegian Luna.
This event marks the completion of the vessel’s external structure and the first time it has touched water. Following this stage, Norwegian Luna will be relocated to the floating dock, where work will continue on interior construction and outfitting.
The ship is scheduled for delivery in April 2026, further expanding NCL’s fleet as it prepares to introduce Norwegian Aqua into service. Like all units from this series, Norwegian Luna's shipbuilder is Fincantieri (Marghera Yard near Venice Italy).
Norwegian Luna's inaugural season will start with the Maiden Voyage on April 4th, 2026. The inaugural cruise season is in the Caribbean and based on homeporting in PortMiami (Florida USA).
The 7-day roundtrip itineraries will visit destinations in Dominicana, BVI/Tortola, USVI/St Thomas, Honduras/Roatan Island, Mexico's Riviera Maya (Cozumel and Costa Maya), also NCL's private islands in Belize/Harvest Caye and Bahamas/Great Stirrup Cay.
