Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth has completed an extensive 3-week refurbishment at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore in preparation for the upcoming deployment from Miami (Floida USA) and her inaugural Alaska season from Seattle. The 2,000-passenger vessel, following this revitalization, is scheduled to commence its Alaska program on June 12th, 2024, before repositioning to Miami for a Caribbean season beginning October 16th, 2024.
The ship’s signature venues, including the Commodore Club, Queens Room, Garden Lounge, and The Pavilion, have undergone enhancements aimed at elevating guest comfort and optimizing ocean views. Outdoor deck spaces have also been improved, with additional sunshades installed on the aft deck to better accommodate warm-weather cruising.
A notable feature of the refurbishment is the redesign of the Queens Room, inspired by the historical tradition of mulberry tree planting at the Royal Palace under King James I. The venue’s new carpet pattern reflects a lush garden aesthetic, complementing its refined ambiance.
The Grills accommodations, a hallmark of Cunard’s luxury experience, have been upgraded with enhanced furnishings and a redesigned Grills Terrace featuring new outdoor furniture. Additionally, The Pavilion Wellness Cafe, first introduced on Queen Anne, has been incorporated, offering a menu emphasizing plant-based cuisine alongside sustainably sourced meats, seafood, and dairy.
Further reinforcing Cunard’s commitment to wellness at sea, Queen Elizabeth will feature the Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea program, previously launched on Queen Anne. This initiative offers curated 3-day wellness packages focused on relaxation, energy restoration, or recovery.
For the first time in Cunard’s history, one of its vessels will be based in Miami for an entire season. Queen Elizabeth will operate roundtrip Caribbean itineraries ranging from 9 to 28 nights, calling at destinations such as Montego Bay, San Juan, and St. John’s, Antigua.
