Celestyal Discovery has resumed operations following a comprehensive refurbishment undertaken in Athens during the winter season. The 1,360-passenger vessel commenced her 2025 sailing schedule on March 21, embarking on a 3-night "Iconic Greek Islands" cruise from Athens (Piraeus, Greece). The itinerary included a call at Santorini on March 23, marking the first cruise ship visit since the lifting of temporary restrictions by local Greek authorities.

The refurbishment introduced 47 additional cabins, increasing the ship's overall capacity by 7.4%. This expansion includes 32 suites, enhancing premium accommodations by 52%, and 15 interior "Cosmos Cabins."

  • Junior Dream Suites: 30 suites measuring approximately 25 square meters, each featuring balconies up to 5.6 square meters.
  • Grand Horizon Suites: 2 suites located above the bridge, each spanning 42 square meters with separate living areas and expansive 15.5 square meter balconies.

Additional enhancements include the introduction of the "Smoked Olive" restaurant, a dedicated dining venue for suite guests offering complimentary meals with select à la carte options available for a nominal fee. Later in the season, the "Grill Seekers" pop-up restaurant will debut, providing a private, reservable dining experience featuring specialty regional cuisine inspired by the ship's itinerary.

Since acquiring Celestyal Discovery in November 2023, Celestyal Cruises has invested significantly in the vessel. Initial upgrades encompassed the redesign of public spaces, refurbishment of cabins, and the addition of new dining venues such as Café Nation, the Pizza Oven, and the poolside Greek Deli.
