Hull artwork for China's second domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Flora City, was unveiled in Shanghai on March 25th.

The design, themed "Maritime Silk Road," draws inspiration from the Dunhuang frescoes, incorporating traditional Chinese cultural elements. The hull features flowing color ribbons representing the Flying Apsaras and celestial maidens scattering flowers, key motifs from Dunhuang murals.

The vessel has completed primary hull assembly and has now entered the prefabricated cabin installation and outfitting phase.

With a total of 2,130 cabins, Adora Flora City is designed to accommodate up to 5,232 guests. She offers an increased number of suites, an expanded atrium, and larger social areas to enhance the onboard experience.

As the flagship brand of China's cruise shipping industry, Adora Cruises integrates cultural heritage with maritime tourism. By incorporating traditional Chinese artistic elements and the historical significance of the "Maritime Silk Road," the company aims to deliver a distinct cultural and maritime experience for global travelers, according to a company representative.

The Chinese company currently operates Adora Magic City, the first China-built large cruise vessel, and Adora Mediterranea/fka Costa Mediterranea, which together have served nearly 550,000 domestic and international tourists.

Adora Flora City is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026, with her home port in Guangzhou.
