Australian expedition cruise line Aurora Expeditions has announced the launch of the first all-female Antarctic cruise, set to depart in 2027.

The Antarctic Women’s Expedition, scheduled for February 23 to March 4, 2027, will offer the opportunity to explore one of the most remote regions on Earth under the leadership of an all-female expedition team.

Aurora Expeditions, known for its small-group adventure voyages, has designed this itinerary for female travelers seeking a shared exploration experience.

The 10-day voyage will begin in Punta Arenas (Chile) with participants flying to King George Island to embark on the Sylvia Earle ship. The 130-passenger vessel is equipped with a heated outdoor saltwater pool, whirlpools, a wellness area with a gym and sauna, and an expert-led education program focused on polar biology and climate change.

The voyage reflects the rising demand for women-only expedition travel, providing a structured yet immersive experience in the Antarctic.
