The Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) is scheduled for a comprehensive infrastructure enhancement valued at S$40 million (~US$759,500).

The 9-month redevelopment project represents the most substantial upgrade since the terminal's inauguration in 2012.

Upon completion, MBCCS will be equipped to accommodate two large cruise vessels simultaneously, with expanded capacity to process up to 11,700 passengers (an increase from the current 6,800).

Infrastructure improvements will include enlarged embarkation and disembarkation seating areas, enhanced lounge amenities, and additional check-in counters. These modifications will support simultaneous and segregated processing for two-ship calls.

The adjacent undeveloped land parcel in front of MBCCS is slated for conversion into an expanded ground transport hub. Planned additions comprise increased coach bay capacity and a significant expansion of ride-hailing vehicle spaces. Furthermore, a section of Marina Coastal Drive will undergo widening to enhance vehicular access and terminal connectivity.

Upgrade works will be implemented in phases to ensure the cruise terminal remains operational throughout the renovation period.

The project is being led by SATS-Creuers Cruise Services, the terminal’s managing entity since May 21, 2012.

In alignment with this initiative, the Singapore Tourism Board has extended SATS-Creuers’ operating agreement for MBCCS by an additional 8 years, with a further 2-year extension option.
