CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has revised its dry dock maintenance schedule for 2026, leading to the cancellation of specific voyages for the Carnival Magic and Carnival Horizon. These adjustments are part of the company's routine maintenance strategy to ensure vessel safety and compliance with maritime regulations.
The Carnival Magic was initially slated for dry dock from October 6 to November 20, 2025. However, the maintenance period has been rescheduled to occur between April 18 and May 24, 2026. Consequently, all cruises planned during this interval have been canceled. The ship is expected to resume operations on May 30, 2026, with an 8-night Southern Caribbean itinerary departing from Miami, featuring ports of call such as Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.
Similarly, the Carnival Horizon has adjusted its dry dock schedule, now set from May 9 to June 14, 2026. As a result, the 13-night Transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Miami, originally scheduled to depart on June 15, 2026, has been canceled.
Passengers affected by these cancellations have been offered two options:
1. Rebook a comparable cruise at the same rate, accompanied by an onboard credit of US$50 per person, up to US$100 per stateroom.
2. Receive a full refund, including any pre-purchased packages. Refunds will be processed after May 1, 2025, and may take up to three weeks to appear, depending on the guest's financial institution.
These schedule adjustments are part of Carnival Cruise Line's ongoing commitment to maintaining its fleet's operational standards and ensuring passenger safety.
