The Coast Guard is searching for a 32-year-old cruise passenger who reportedly fell overboard from Carnival Ecstasy near the Bahamas.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, crew members onboard the Carnival ship said a woman "was reportedly seen falling overboard". A spokesperson for the line said the ship passenger "was witnessed jumping overboard." The woman was in a white dress with pink floral.
The ship was around 15 miles off Grand Bahama Island's coast at the time, the line said. Coast Guard boat and air crews launched a search.
At the time of accident, Carnival Ecstasy was en route from Nassau to Charleston South Carolina. The ship is due to arrive in Charleston on Thursday.
