A crew member onboard the largest cruise ship in the world has died today after being injured in lifeboat drill.
Royal Caribbean, operator of Harmony of the Seas, has confirmed the death and injuries to 4 others in the accident in Marseille. They were all in a lifeboat when it became detached.
In a statement, the cruise line said:
“We are sorry to share the sad news that a crew member aboard Harmony of the Seas has died of injuries suffered during a lifeboat drill conducted while docked at the port of Marseille, France.
“Four other crew members received medical treatment in the same incident.
