One crew member and two passengers have been medevaced yesterday from a couple of P&O cruise ships within 24 hours, according to newspapers in Australia.
Gold Coast Bulletin reported that the Queensland Government air rescue helicopter service, Rescue 500, medevaced a male patient from Pacific Pearl around 70 nautical miles east of Gold Coast. Other news said that the man was a passenger who suffered a head injury.
The sick traveller was transported to a hospital while the ship continued south to Sydney.
A crew member and a passenger experiencing unrelated medical problems have also been medevaced from Pacific Jewel. A video via Mail Online from Rescue 500 Brisbane shows the medevac from Pacific Pearl.
