Due to technical malfunction that affected the maximum sailing speed of Carnival Liberty, the ship's next cruise, a 5-night Mexico itinerary, was modified to include one fewer port visit.
Passengers will still call on Cozumel tomorrow, November 2, as planned, but the scheduled call on Progreso on Thursday was canceled.
A statement from Carnival Cruise Line said that all other ship services were operating normally. The problem is currently being fixed as the cruise ship sails. As a result, Carnival Liberty will come back to her Galveston homeport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, with embarkation for the subsequent voyage taking place between 7 p.m.-10 p.m.
