Sunday, May 28, is National Burger Day, and HAL (Holland America Line) pays homage to the American food classic.
Pleasing the palates of vegetarians and meat-eaters, not only does the HAL cruise company feature veggie and gourmet burgers at the Dive-In (outdoor grill), but patties can be found on the Pinnacle Grill and The Dining Room menus, as well as in a demonstration in America’s Test Kitchen.
With a total of 20 hamburger options, such as black bean “burgers” and vegetarian portobello, Holland America’s selections take passengers on a food-themed adventure. Creating the perfect burger goes beyond pickles, ketchup and cheese.
With 4 styles at Dive-In, signature burger at Pinnacle Grill and 14 rotating selections on the lunch menu in Main Dining Rooms, burger connoisseurs on 7-day HAL cruises can taste a different burger every day of the voyage.
Fun fact is, that HAL serves over 4,000 burgers on a week-long cruise.
