Capital Cruising, which runs a number of UK cruise terminals, such as Edinburgh, London and Dundee, this weekend welcomed Pacific Princess to mark the beginning of Dundee's busiest cruise season on record.
The newly refurbed Pacific Princess called into the port carrying 670 passengers as part of a 17-night ‘Fire and Ice Explorer’ Cruise sailing around the UK prior to going to Iceland to enjoy midnight sun.
The cruise sector in Dundee is currently seeing strong growth. The port will see cruise ship visits increase from 10 last year to a planned 14 in 2017, with further growth expected after the opening of V&A Museum of Design next year.
Passengers can board a vessel at Dundee and sail to destinations including Iceland, Baltic, Fjords and the Scottish islands. Passengers and cruise operators are now seeing the exciting things happening in the city.
