Starting in summer 2018 Norwegian Cruise Line will offer voyages to Cuba from Port Canaveral.
Norwegian Sun will be sent to the port following a dry-dock overhaul, offering 4-night voyages with overnights in Havana, Key West, and 3-night itineraries to the Bahamas.
Norwegian Cruise Line had always previously vacated Port Canaveral in the summer. Currently sailing from the port, NCL Norwegian Epic will migrate to Europe in April 2018 for Mediterranean service prior to returning in November.
Before her arrival, Norwegian Sun will sail fall and winter season in South America. Then the ship will undergo a 2½-week dry dock in Victoria BC. On April 19, Norwegian Sun will make her way to Port Canaveral via Panama Canal on a 17-night cruise from Seattle.
Norwegian Sun will begin Port Canaveral cruises on May 7, 2018 with Monday-Friday Cuba voyages and Friday-Monday Bahamas sailings with stops including Nassau, Freeport and Great Stirrup Cay (line's private island).
