Millennial-focused cruise line U by Uniworld unveiled renderings of its river ships, which will feature all-black exteriors. The first sailings of the new line depart in April.
Unveiled earlier in 2017 by Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, the brand new line offers lower-priced voyages than company's luxury line. Passengers will pay US$250 per day on average, in comparison to US$330 per day for the lowest-priced off-season sailing of Uniworld Boutique.
U's product is tailored for cruisers ages 21-45 with fewer inclusions than the higher-priced sister line.
The line will have two ships. The A (former Uniworld River Ambassador), wil sail along the Main, Rhine and Danube rivers. The B (former Uniworld River Baroness), will sail on Seine River in France. Both will be launched on April 14, 2018.
The ships will be renovated to have a gym, main lounge, rooftop lounge, coffee bar and 2 dining establishments (main restaurant and rooftop dining venue).
There will be 3 categories of cabins, which according to the U by Uniworld website will range from "I just need a comfortable place to sleep and stash my stuff" to "I'm going all out in a suite".
U by Uniworld voyages include 2 meals each day (breakfasts and dinners) and 1 or 2 shore excursions each day. Optional trips will be offered each day for additional charge.
