A record number of cruise ships will dock in Port Albany WA this season, with Sea Princess due to arrive on Friday, October 6.
The 16 ships will bring a total of 17,000 cruisers to Albany for 2017-2018 season, with 3 more ships than 2016-2017 season to arrive in the cruise port.
Sea Princess alone will bring nearly 2300 passengers to the port.
Travelers aboard these cruise ships will see a brand new entry experience designed by Southern Ports - a pavilion providing shelter from the weather.
According to Albany Mayor Dennis Wellington, the new arrival experience would ensure visitors' protection and had sense of occasion upon arrival.
There is a WWI memorial-themed voyage planned in January, and 3 ships - L’Austral, Crystal Symphony and Azamara Journey will visit Albany port for the first time. Sea Princess will be at Albany port from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
