The first cruise ship of the season to drop anchor at Port Arthur Tasmania Historic Site arrives on Monday, October 30, with 2600 passengers.
Golden Princess returns to the World Heritage site following an inaugural visit in January 2016. The ship will return another 3 times this season. It's just one of the 29 ships visiting Port Arthur as part of the state’s largest ever cruise liners, which will see over 50,000 crew and 125,000 passengers arrive during coming months.
Due to open on December 18, the new Port Arthur Historic Site visitor centre will offer a larger cafe with outdoor dining, brand new separate restaurant overlooking the site, new gallery and exhibition space as well as a retail space with products from the Tasman region.
