A 71-year-old woman has been evacuated from a Carnival cruise ship yesterday, November 11, the Coast Guard in Miami reported.
The Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter to Carnival Liberty off Miami to airlift the passenger suffering from hypertension.
The distress call from Carnival's cruise ship came in around noon. The ship was on her way back to Port Canaveral from Nassau.
A nurse accompanied the patient and crew to Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital.
At around 7:00 p.m., another 71-year-old female passenger suffering from stroke-like symptoms has been taken from AIDAmar close to the Bahamas and air-lifted to hospital in Nassau.
