Passengers onboard Golden Princess were waving rainbow flags on the front deck on the ship as it pulled into Sydney harbour before the announcement of the 'yes' result to same-sex marriages with an approval of 62% in a voluntary survey.
The cruise ship, carrying 2,600 passengers is due to depart to her next stop in New Caledonia. A majority 'yes' vote was recorded in a total of 133 of the 150 federal electorates across Australia, the Australian Bureau of Statistics announced in Canberra.
