Princess Cruises announced that its Royal Princess ship will make her maiden voyage to Alaska in 2019 to become the largest liner of the company to cruise Alaskan waters.
The arrival of the liner will mark 50 Years of Alaska Cruises by Princess cruise line.
The news followed a recorded 25.5% rise in Australians cruising to Alaska last year, with the destination rated as favourite itinerary of Princess Cruises' guests and Australia’s favourite place to sail in the Americas.
In 2019 a record-breaking 7 Princess vessels will be completing itineraries in Alaska. Passengers will have 5 homeports to choose from: Seattle, Vancouver, Anchorage (Whittier), San Francisco and Los Angeles and the opportunity to see the top two attractions Denali National Parks and Glacier Bay on every cruise-tour.
