A 40-year-old woman has been winched onto rescue helicopter and flown to hospital. The passenger suffered a suspected stroke onboard a Carnival cruise ship off NSW.
The woman fell ill on Carnival Spirit around 50 nm off Port Macquarie on the mid-north coast of New South Wales.
The critical medical team of Westpac rescue helicopter were lowered onto the cruise ship at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, to help stabilise the passenger before being airlifted to Newcastle NSW John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
