The ultra-luxury cruise line Seabourn announced major enhancements to the passenger experience onboard Seabourn Sojourn, including the addition of the new signature restaurant, The Grill by Thomas Keller, as well as the new mindful living program by Dr. Andrew Weil.
The programs launched after a recent drydock period for the ship, which also included detailed updates throughout Seabourn Sojourn. Many of the public areas now boast new carpet and design touches. All suites were refreshed, and in particular, Owner's, Signature and Wintergarden Suites were enhanced with soft goods and new furniture.
The Grill by Thomas Keller, created in 2015 via partnership with Seabourn, is a unique culinary concept focusing on updated versions of iconic dishes. Unique cocktails and premium wines of domestic and old-world labels complement the menu. The Grill by Thomas Keller will feature on Seabourn Ovation at its launch in May.
Created in conjunction with The Onboard Spa by Steiner, Spa & Wellness with Dr.Andrew Weil is the first program of the kind available at sea. As on other ships across the fleet of Seabourn, Seabourn Sojourn's program is led by a Mindful Living Coach, certified in meditation and yoga, whose role is to educate throughout the voyage.
Complimentary Mind & Body seminars are designed to educate passengers on philosophies and practices aligned with the mission of the program. One-on-one wellness sessions and wellness services are available for a fee. Spa & Wellness with Dr.Andrew Weil will feature on Seabourn Ovation at its launch in May.
Seabourn Sojourn will also play host to Extended Explorations itineraries during the first part of 2018, creating opportunities for passengers who prefer an in-depth experience of a particular region or traversing from one region to another. The longer voyages frequently include more overnights in must-see ports.
For the summer in 2018, the ship will return to Alaska taking passengers on unique itineraries including the popular Ventures by Seabourn excursions, an optional, for-charge program giving an up-close look at the natural environment.
