Azamara Cruises announced the launch of 3 new Land & Sea packages in South America aboard Azamara Pursuit (former Adonia).
The cruises are centered around Machu Picchu, Iguazu Falls and the Galapagos, and allow passengers to experience the culture and local heritage of each destination.
Via partnership with sister brand Celebrity, Azamara Pursuit passengers are given the chance to experience the beauty of Galapagos on line's post-cruise itinerary. After the 11-night Colombia, Panama and Peru voyage, guests can see the islands during an all-inclusive 10-night Galapagos Inner Loop onboard the 100-passenger Celebrity Xpedition. They will explore a couple of destinations per day with a number of options for activities on the island. All tours will be led by certified Galapagos National Park naturalists and include walking along barren volcanic landscapes, snorkeling with penguins and swimming with sea lions.
The 5-night Machu Picchu trip takes guests to learn about the rich history of Peru through the eyes of local artists, communities and ancient ruins. Passengers will have the opportunity to visit both a ceramic and weaver’s workshop, as well as to explore Maras Salt Mines and view Huaypo Lagoon. Visits to the Temple of the Sun, Inca Bridge and Machu Picchu will take up the 2nd half of the land stays which ends in the capital of the Incan Empire, Cusco.
The 4-night Iguazu Falls trip will take passengers to explore the world's most expansive waterfalls from both Argentinian and Brazilian sides. Guests will embark on boat ride through the water formations, journey to Jasy Pora Guarani Indigenous Village in the middle of Yriapu rainforest and learn about Guarani way of life.
