Meyer Werft today started the construction of the newest Breakaway Plus ship in Papenburg.
Norwegian Cruise Line unveiled the ship will be named Norwegian Encore and sail on Sundays from Miami Florida.
The start of the steel-cutting for the new 167,800 GT ship was signalled by NCL Norwegian executives who gathered at Meyer's laser center.
Norwegian Encore is the 4th and final newbuild in line's Breakaway Plus class, which follows sister ships Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Bliss.
Its delivery is set for October 31, 2019.
