The Coast Guard has medevaced a 62-year-old female passenger suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding off a cruise liner on Wednesday, January 31.
A crew member aboard Norwegian Breakaway notified Coast Guard Station Portsmouth watchstanders at 8:40 p.m. and requested assistance for the lady located about 120 mi southeast of Cape Lookout.
An Air Station Elizabeth City helicopter hoisted the passenger and a nurse to the rescue helicopter and carried them to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington NC.
