Norwegian Cruise Line announced new 7-night Caribbean cruises including a visit to Havana, Cuba - the first for the line.
Up to now, the Miami-based line's only sailings with Havana on the schedule were short trips lasting 4 nights.
NCL also plans new 9- and 13-night voyages that feature a call in Havana.
All of the new cruises will take place during 2018 fall onboard the 1,936-guest Norwegian Sun.
The new 7-night cruises kick off in September through October from Miami FL. In addition to Havana, the trips will feature calls at Costa Maya, Harvest Caye, and Great Stirrup Cay, the private island of Norwegian in the Bahamas.
Also taking place in fall 2018, Norwegian Sun's new 9-night cruises will expand upon week-long voyages with additional calls at Cozumel, Roatan and Honduras. They will also start in Miami FL.
Norwegian Sun will sail on a single 13-night cruise that includes Cuba on October 30. Also from Miami, it will feature calls at 8 destinations including Puerto Limon, Cartagena, Santa Marta, and Oranjestad.
NCL added a new 5-night cruise to Cuba and Bahamas from Port Canaveral on September 3.
Norwegian Sun had already been scheduled to spend 2018 summer sailing short cruises to Cuba from Port Canaveral. NCL also offers Cuba short trips from Miami FL onboard the 2,004-guest Norwegian Sky.
