For its newest cruise ship, Carnival Horizon, the entertainment team of Carnival has partnered with popular creative directors from Los Angeles, Broadway and London’s West End in order to create 3 new shows raising the bar on cruise entertainment.
Part of Carnival’s Playlist Productions revues, the brand new shows make maximum use of ship’s interactive LED screens. Three new shows, Celestial Strings, Soulbound and Vintage Pop, debut onboard Carnival Horizon when the ship enters service in April. A fourth show, named Amor Cubano: A Caribbean Dance Romance, was brought to Horizon following a debut onboard Carnival Vista in 2017.
The Playlist Productions shows onboard Carnival Horizon include:
- Amor Cubano: A Caribbean Dance Romance: blends classic Latin songs with modern hits and features reproduction of Horizon’s Havana Bar. The show is highlighted by a 7-piece Cuban-inspired band.
- Celestial Strings: merges classical music with modern pop and takes place in an enchanted garden that transforms from season to season.
- Soulbound: offers gothic-inspired trip through New Orleans with stops at Crescent City landmarks. As spirits are captured and brought back to life via special effects, cast members introduce R&B favorites.
- Vintage Pop: takes guests back to the Great Gatsby & Cotton Club era with modern songs transformed into classic jazz interpretations and features a 6-piece live band.
Carnival Horizon is due to debut on April 2 with a 13-day Mediterranean cruise out of Barcelona.
