The pioneering expedition ship of Hurtigruten, ms Roald Amundsen, will be delayed until next year.
The 530-passenger hybrid propulsion ship, which incorporates technology making it possible to sail on battery-generated electric power, had to arrive in July 2018.
According to Hurtigruten, Kleven Verft had informed the company that, because of the complexity of that project, more time was needed to complete the ship.
Earlier this month Roald Amundsen was floated out from Kleven's Ulsteinvik yard.
Passengers will get full refund, which includes flight cancellation costs. They are also offered discounts on alternative Hurtigruten expedition cruises.
A 21,000 GT sister ship, ms Fridthof Nansen, is due to emerge from Kleven facility in summer 2019.
