Liverpool Cruise Terminal is due to play host to 57 cruise ships in 2018, carrying over 100,000 international passengers and crew into the port city.
The schedule is making a number of big waves, including 5 inaugural calls by AIDAaura, Ocean Dream, Seabourn Ovation, Viking Sun and MS Berlin. The luxury Cunard Line will bring its Queen Victoria on May 22, and Queen Elizabeth on July 23.
Princess Cruises’ flagship Royal Princess will sail on River Mersey with 4 calls this season. Disney Magic returns for her 4th visit in 3 years. She will be setting sail from the world-famous waterfront of Liverpool, early evening on September 7. Plans are currently underway to stage a special sailaway show for the occasion.
Celebrity Eclipse sails into the port city on June 12 and Europa 2 on September 8. Both will stay on Mersey overnight for a sleepover.
Liverpool’s cruise industry is due to bring in over GBP 7 million to the local economy in 2018.
