An elderly woman has been airlifted by a rescue helicopter from a Princess Cruises ship, off the NSW coast.
Westpac Life Saver Rescue helicopter has been called to Sea Princess early Tuesday afternoon, March 13, following reports that a passenger needed urgent recovery and transport.
The lady was medevaced from the vessel, off the NSW coast close to Coffs Harbour, and transported to Gold Coast University hospital in critical condition
The passenger suffered a medical condition as a result of bleeding, but the exact details of her condition wasn't yet clear.
Shortly after 4:00 p.m. the helicopter landed at the hospital. It's believed cruise passengers had been asked to make blood donations.
