Scanship Holding ASA via its subsidiary Scanship AS, was awarded a retrofit contract by NCLH (Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings).
The contract is to deliver and install Scanship AWP system onboard the Insignia cruise ship operated under Oceania Cruises brand.
The new system will process all grey wastewater sources and black water to the highest environmental standard in cruise industry. The standard is specified as IMO Marpol MEPC 227 (64), chapter 4.2 for special area Baltic Sea including nitrogen and phosphorus removal. The installation will be done during 2018 fall.
According to CEO Henrik Badin, this will be the 13th contract for wastewater retrofit they'll be doing for Norwegian, the 2nd for Oceania Cruises.
