Costa Cruises opened bookings for the inaugural cruise of Costa Venezia from Trieste to Yokohama.
The 53-day voyage departs on March 8, 2019. The 5,260-guest Costa Venezia is still under construction at Fincantieri shipyard, Monfalcone Italy. It is the first Costa Cruises ship purpose-built for Chinese cruise market.
The inaugural cruise of Costa Venezia is the only one currently available to the market in North America.
The liner will depart from the Mediterranean, then cross the Suez Canal and Red Sea prior to entering Persian Gulf. Costa Venezia will visit Croatia, Greece, Jordan, Israel, Oman. The vessel will then stop in Dubai and Abu Dhabi before entering Indian Ocean. The voyage continues to India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, the Far East, with visits to Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan.
In addition to the 53-day full itinerary, the inaugural cruise of Costa Venezia can be broken into 3 segments, including: 20-day Trieste to Dubai, 18-day Dubai to Singapore and 17-day Singapore to Yokohama. Additional combinations include 36-day Trieste to Singapore and 33-day Dubai to Yokohama.
After her inaugural cruise, Costa Venezia enters service for the Chinese market. An as-yet-unnamed sister ship is set for delivery in 2020.
