The new ship of Carnival Cruise Line, Carnival Horizon, was delivered on Wednesday, March 28, at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
The official ceremony was attended by Chairman of Carnival Corporation, Micky Arison, and President of Carnival Cruise Line, Christine Duffy, while Fincantieri was represented by Chairman Giampiero Massolo, and CEO Giuseppe Bono.
Carnival Horizon was constructed at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera. She is a sister ship of Carnival Vista – the biggest unit that Fincantieri has ever built for Carnival’s fleet, delivered in Monfalcone April 2016 – she is 133,500 GT, 323 meters long and accommodates over 6,400 passengers and staff.
