AmaWaterways announced that its newest cruise ship, the 156-guest AmaLea, is returning to Amsterdam on Sunday, April 1, after her inaugural Tulip Time voyage. The vessel embarked on her first trip from Amsterdam and was sailing along the canals of the Belgian and Dutch Waterways.
On May 6, AmaLea will start her Danube itineraries with official christening ceremony led by Filomena Andre, AmaLea’s godmother and travel industry executive, taking place in Vilshofen on May 26.
AmaLea will sail 6 Tulip Time itineraries before embarking on 7-night cruises on Danube River between Vilshofen-Budapest, 2 of which are Wine Cruises hosted by president of Ceja Vineyards Napa, CA, Amelia Ceja, and president of Dr.Konstantin Frank Wine Cellars, Finger Lakes Region, NY, Frederick Frank, and take place in November 2018.
AmaLea will finish her inaugural 2018 season with 4 Christmas Markets Cruises along the Danube.
