Scenic Cruises announced it is adding a number of new itineraries for 2019-2020 cruise season.
Highlights include a 13-day adventure through Russia’s White Sea, one of the world’s most isolated regions; 21-day Northwest Passage exploration; and 2 opportunities to take in many ports along North America’s east coast, such as New York City and Halifax.
Limited to 200 passengers and departing on August 15, 2020, the line's Across the Northwest Passage itinerary will operate on Scenic Eclipse, which will make her way from Copenhagen, along Greenland's coast and through the Canadian Arctic Islands before reaching Nome Alaska.
The White Sea, situated on the northwest coast of Russia, is surrounded on 3 sides and is a southern inlet of Barents Sea. Departing from Tromso on June 21 and July 3, travelers will get to visit North Cape and Murmansk prior to focusing on Russian Arctic, Arkhangelsk and Solovetsky Islands, forbidden region for decades.
For passengers who want a closer to home cruise, Scenic Cruises scheduled 10- and 20-day voyages along the East Coast of North America. The 10-day exploration departs from New York on September 29, 2019, and then heads south, visiting Baltimore, Norfolk, Wilmington and Charleston prior to ending in Bahamas. Vacationers interested in sailing the entire coast can begin earlier (Sept 20) in Halifax, and add 5 Canadian ports, such as Prince Edward Island and Lunenburg, Boston and Martha’s Vineyard.
