In line's 70th anniversary year, the vessels in the fleet of Costa Cruises will all boast a new livery paying tribute to Italy, the homeland of the company since its foundation.
A stylised Italian flag and the name of the liner will be painted on the bow in a new font in larger lettering.
The first Costa cruise ship to boast the new livery is Costa Mediterranea. Her logo was painted during a short trip in the Mediterranean: on April 5, during a visit to Marseille, the bow's left side was painted, and the day after in port of Savona, it was the right side's turn.
By the end of 2018 the rest of Costa's fleet will also be painted. The livery project also covers the new vessels under construction - Costa Smeralda and Costa Venezia, due to be delivered in March and October 2019, respectively.
