Dream Cruises currently collaborates with Nakamura Tokichi Honten, which is one of the finest and most well-respected tea houses in Japan, bringing the art of tea onboard World Dream.
From April 29 through June 14, guests on the 2- and 5-night themed cruises will enjoy authentic experience of Okinawan and Japanese culture from shore to ship, comprising of Kimono masterclass, meet-and-greet with Okinawan celebrity illustrator, local delicacies, Awamori tasting, and more.
Dream Cruises will offer a series of limited-edition Matcha delicacies, such as cream roll, cream puff and cheesecake, available onboard World Dream as part of Dream Cruises & Nakamara Tokichi Honten Matcha tea set, served with a selection of the brand’s steeped Matcha (Matcha latte).
Matcha connoisseurs may learn from Nakamura Tokichi Honten experts in a series of workshops, where passengers will learn about the history and culture of Matcha, as well as the steps and etiquette of Japanese tea tasting. Travelers will also be invited to the traditional tea quiz game Tea Kabuki.
While enjoying the cruise, guests will have the opportunity to experience a variety of local Okinawan delicacies onboard World Dream, such as the world-famous Okinawa Wagyu beef, Okinawa Agu pork, seasonal vegetables and fruits. The perfect drink to accompany Okinawan meals is Awamori, one of Japan's oldest distilled spirits.
