Asia's largest cruise ship, Quantum of the Seas, will be based in Singapore for 6 months in 2019 in what will be the line's longest ever deployment there for a Quantum Class vessel.
The 170,000 GT, 18-deck high cruise ship will call Singapore home from November 2019 through April 2020 and undertake 34 itineraries - to and from Penang, Phuket and Ho Chi Minh City.
The move by Royal Caribbean to base the ship here will increase passenger capacity in Singapore by 30% to tap the growing cruise market.
Quantum class ships feature bumper car rides, skydiving simulators, and even robot waiters at the onboard "Bionic Bar".
