Ferry passengers traveling in Greece's Saronic Gulf on Friday, April 13, got a shock when their vessel crashed into the island port where it was trying to dock.
Five people were hurt when the ferry sailing to the Greek island of Agistri struck port upon arrival. According to Hellenic Coast Guard, 3 women and 1 man were transferred to a clinic on nearby Aegina Island, while another woman was taken to hospital.
Four people were discharged from where they were treated with first aid.
The ferryboat (Achaeos) usually transports passengers between Saronic island of Aegina and mainland Port Piraeus.
There were a total of 198 people onboard at the time of the accident. An investigation is currently underway about the reasons that led to the crash.
