The U.S. Coast Guard called off search for a passenger who jumped overboard from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship Friday afternoon, April 13.
The 24-year-old man jumped from Anthem of the Seas around 3:30 p.m. when the vessel was 65 miles offshore Chincoteague, Virginia.
The Royal Caribbean liner was making her way back to dock in Bayonne from Bahamas.
The Coast Guard searched for signs of the passenger via a cutter boat, helicopter and airplane. The U.S. Navy assisted in the search which was called off at 11:02 a.m. on Saturday, April 14.
