On the occasion of the arrival of MSC Splendida in Chinese waters, MSC Cruises unveiled that its MSC Bellissima ship will be deployed in Asia in Spring 2020. The liner will become line's newest flagship for the region.
Being MSC Cruises’ 2nd Meraviglia-class ship, MSC Bellissima is currently under constructed at STX France shipyard in Saint-Nazaire and is scheduled to come into service in March next year.
Following her inaugural Mediterranean season next summer, Bellissima will bring a range of innovations to Japan and China, such as the longest LED Sky Screen at Sea at 80 m long encompassing a 96 m long Mediterranean-style promenade, expected to become the ship's social hub.
Passengers will be able to enjoy exclusive to MSC Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows and next-generation MSC Yacht Club, with luxurious accommodations spanning 3 decks, private amenities and butler service round-the-clock.
While MSC Bellissima will be predominantly based in Shanghai to serve Chinese market, she will also offer several itineraries from Japan to cater to the increasing demand for MSC Cruises product and experience from Japanese clients. A number of Asia cruises will be reserved for international passengers who want to discover the popular region from the comfort of an MSC Cruises liner.
MSC Splendida completed her Maritime Silk Road trip, which took her from Dubai to Shanghai. During her Asian season, she will also operate mostly from Shanghai as well as out of Yokohama.
MSC Splendida is scheduled to arrive in Yokohama on April 27, where MSC Cruises will celebrate its 10-year anniversary in Japan.
