With the arrival of AIDAdiva on Thursday, April 26, AIDA Cruises opened its 2018 season in Rostock.
The AIDAdiva ship spent winter season in the Caribbean. She reached her home base for the summer in the early morning after Atlantic crossing via the Canaries.
AIDAdiva will offer a trio of 4-day taster cruises to Stockholm and Visby before she starts her regular 10-day voyages to the gems of Baltic. The highlight of the trip is a 2-day stay in Saint Petersburg. Passengers will have the chance to either attend an evening concert by Hermitage Orchestra or, if they wish, to explore the capital of Russia.
AIDA highlights in Warnemunde 2018 include the arrivals between August 9–12 for Hanse Sail, the biggest gathering of traditional and sailing ships in the world, and the first Rostock Cruise Festival, September 14–16, 2018. AIDA Cruises will be presenting itself both on land and on water for the festival.
With over 40 visits, AIDA will once again be Rostock’s biggest cruise partner this year, and a major economic factor for the region.
AIDAmar will also bring many passengers to Warnemunde. The ship will call for the first time on May 5, 2018 and will spend the summer sailing 1-week voyages in the Baltic. Her 7-day roundtrips will be taking in destinations like Tallinn, Saint Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm.
