The MSC Seaview cruise ship is slightly behind schedule, so it will now be delivered on June 4, which forced the cancellation of the preview cruise scheduled from June 7 through 10.
While the nearly 4,000-strong team at Fincantieri shipyard is currently working 24/7 around the clock to finish the vessel for its inaugural season, Seaview will require a few extra days of the final fitting, according to the cruise line.
MSC Cruises said that the inauguration ceremony would no longer take place in the port city for Rome-Civitavecchia. Instead, the christening will be moved to Genoa on June 9, where the ship is due to take its initial voyage on June 10.
Following the delivery, MSC Seaview is scheduled to sail in the Mediterranean this summer. The cruiser will move to South America for 2018-2019 winter season.
