No cruise ships will visit Varna and Burgas during summer 2018, which is an anti-record for Bulgaria's cruise season.
The main reason for the absence of cruisers is the geopolitical situation in Black Sea basin in recent years.

Companies in the cruise sector plan their calls at least 2 or 3 years ahead, which means that the plans for this year were made in the hot period of conflicts in Ukraine, as well as Turkey's attempted military coup.
In 2014, a total of 36 cruise ships visited Varna, which brought to the port town about 30 000 visitors.
2018, without a single cruiser, is the worst for 21st century.
