Silversea contracted Fincantieri Italy with a shipbuilding order for another ultra-luxury cruise vessel, scheduled for delivery in November 2021. The new contract is valued at more than EUR 320 million.
The new vessel, named Silver Dawn, will be a sistership of line’s flagship, Silver Muse, launched from the shipyard of Sestri Ponente (Genoa) in April last year and welcomed with great acclaim by passengers. Silversea therefore committed to building a new ship that will share the ultra-luxury qualities of Muse.
The order of Silver Dawn came just months after the cruise company signed a contract with Fincantieri for the building of Silver Moon, another sistership to Muse, due to be delivered in 2020. Part of Silversea's expansion plan, the fleet’s 11th ship, and the 3rd in the Muse-class series, is expected to strengthen the strategic position of the fleet.
Silver Dawn is due to benefit from the same spacious all-suite accommodation options and intimacy that characterise all Silversea ships.
